It came as a shocking statement for all the eople in kerala, when a person like a judge asked proof in such a case. The soumya case happened on february 2011. The culprit was caught by police immediately and was identified as Govinda chami, a handicapped man. It was one of the worst incident ever happened in the memories of kerala.

Many people strongly protested against the culprit’s stay in the jail eventhough he have been granted by a final decision by the court. The culprit has approached the supreme court against the decision of high court, which granted him extreme punishment. In its latest supreme court asked for scientic proof in soumya case.
The penal also stated that there is no place for guesswork in a cas like this and it also slammed kerala government for lack of proof. The bench was headed by Justices ranjan Gogoi and UU Lalit.
Judge doubted that how a handicapped man can throw a girl out of a train ? Govinchami have only one hand And there is no witness for the crime. The court needs scientific evidence whic the kerala government lacks. If the case continues in this direction, we will soon see govindachami roaming around us freely.
